Garden Greeters:

Encourage the interaction and saety of visitors in the Downing Children's Garden.

Visitor Services

The Gift Garden: Assist with all areas of operation in Botanica’s gift shop

Tour Guides: Lead group tours of the Gardens

Information Desk: Greet visitors and provide information regarding the Gardens, services and amenities.

Floral Arrangers: Produce floral arrangements for the lobby using stems cut from the Gardens.  

Gardens

Bulb Sales: Assist with the preparation and sale of bulbs

Butterfly House Monitor: Assist and educate visitors in the Butterfly House.

Volunteer Gardening: Assist with maintenance of the Gardens (planting, weeding, pruning, deadheading, etc.)

Staff Support

Reception Desk: Answer and relay customer calls

Special Events: Assist in all areas at events.

Mailing Assistance: Assemble packets sent to members and the public.

Special Events

Assist in our gardens for a variety of special events including: Family Fun Fair (in February), Mother's Day, Father's Day, Alfresco, BOOtanica (October) and Illuminations (Nov. & December).

BENEFIT OF VOLUNTEERING

Beyond the good feeling you get from volunteering your time and energy to a good cause, Botanica loves its volunteers and we try to give back throughout the year.

Game Days/Picnics/Dinners - cultivate relationships and celebrate volunteering during varioius volunteer events throughout the year.

Volunteer Coffee - meet and visit with other volunteers during our monthly meetings and receive updates and information on volunteering. The volunteer coffee is held the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
