Annual Fund - Education
Each lesson counts at Botanica!
At Botanica, education is at the heart of everything we grow. Over the last year, more than 12,000 students experienced hands-on learning in our gardens—exploring ecosystems, observing pollinators, and discovering how nature connects to science, art, and everyday life. Many of these students come from Title I schools that rely on donor support to make these experiences possible. With your help, we can open the gates even wider, ensuring that thousands more can learn, imagine, and thrive in a living classroom unlike any other in Kansas.
When we returned to school (I had challenged them to come up with at least ten new things we learned) the students mentioned bees carrying pollen on their bodies to other flowers, and one student said, pollination! Thank you for adding this mini lesson into our day as well.

Your support brings these lessons to life.
Each gift directly impacts a child’s ability to learn and explore through hands-on discovery:
- $50 provides field supplies such as magnifiers, butterfly nets, tagging equipment, and pollinator seed packets that students can take home to start their own pollinator gardens.
- $100 funds new classroom learning tools like electric microscopes and specimen displays.
- $250 helps expand our Butterfly Bungalow and update interactive learning stations with new storage and iPads, enhancing the experience for more than 12,000 students annually.
- $2,500 supports the cost of bringing new plants into the gardens and beautifying our natural spaces.
