Be transported into Botanica’s Chinese Garden of Friendship! As a tribute of friendship to Wichita’s sister city, Kaifeng, Botanica displays traditional Chinese gardening in a majestic showcase of art and architecture.
Experience the magic of childhood as you enter under the iridescent rainbow of Botanica’s Downing Children’s Garden. Follow the yellow-stem path of the Rainbow Trail. Wind your way up to Sunflower Plaza Fountain.
Made possible by a generous gift from Koch Industries and Koch Family Foundation, Koch Carousel Gardens is an enchanting space at Botanica. Surrounding the Khicha Family Carousel and Spirit AeroSystems Education and Gathering Room, the Koch Carousel Gardens features many one-of-a-kind installations for the entire community.
Botanica’s Butterfly Garden attracts, retains and encourages populations of native and migratory butterflies. Hosts of nectar plants are featured in this garden with the goal of providing food for butterflies and flowers in continuous bloom throughout the growing season. Most active in the summer and fall, butterflies prefer temperatures over 75 degrees.
