Martha Parriott Terrace Garden
The Martha Parriott Terrace Garden and stage frequently hosts concerts, events and weddings. Located immediately outside Botanica’s Terrace Room, wrought-iron tables and chairs for approximately 250 guests invite love and laughter in this cozy, outdoor gathering place. Native Kansas limestone lays the foundation while sloping hillsides and surrounding trees welcome visitors to Botanica, The Wichita Gardens.
Plan the perfect private party on the Terrace with Botanica’s professional event managers. Often coupled with the indoor Terrace Room, the Martha Parriott Terrace Garden serves as an overflow outdoor space for many large events. Most days, it is a quiet place for a cup of coffee or lunch with friends.

- The Martha Parriott Terrace Garden was Botanica’s first to open in 1987, donated by Bob Parriott in tribute to his wife Martha.
- Trees in this Garden include Shantung Maple, Eastern Redbud, Honey Locust and Chinese Pistachio.
- Individually cut and placed, the Terrace floor contains more than 75 tons of limestone from Winfield, KS. The limestone was dry laid without mortar to allow water to drain naturally. Composed of the remains of dead organisms, limestone is an organic sedimentary rock and includes calcium carbonate.
